Exchange 2013, trying to monitor NDRs... how?

Hello,

I have an Exchange 2013 on-premise server and it has mailbox users and it also is setup as a Mail Relay for our on-premise so that other servers/services can use exchange to send messages out.

I have a program that uses Exchange as a mail-relay to send out and sometimes it sends out to recipients that do not exist which would generate an NDR. But since this service is not a real user with a mailbox on exchange we don't have an NDR.

I've created postmaster@mydomian.com following this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb400930(EXCHG.80).aspx

I've set it so that the postmater mailbox in exchange gets copied on any NDR 5.1.1 (recipient not found) errors.

My goal was so that when this service (sendmail on AIX) on our network uses the exchange server as a mail relay server and exchange gets a NDR on one of the recipients it is sending to it would forward to the postmaster mailbox; but this does not seem the case?

I've set the following..

Set-OrganizationConfig -MicrosoftExchangeRecipientReplyRecipient postmaster@domain.com

Set-TransportConfig -ExternalPostmasterAddress postmaster@domaincom

Set-OrganizationConfig -MicrosoftExchangeRecipientReplyRecipient postmaster@domain.com

If I login to a webmail service provider like gmail and send a message to some mailbox I know does not exist on my exchange server I get the NDR copy in the postmaster mailbox so it works like that...

Anyone know why this is not working? Why am I not getting the NDR?
