Hey everyone,
In the middle of a complex mess and hoping the experts can chime in. Here's the scenario;
You have one company that has split into two separate companies; ABC.com and ABC.com (yes, they have to stay this way for a few months)
We need to split the exchange servers into two. One will have half of the company, the other exch server will have the other half.
Both exch servers cannot be connected to each other. Neither can know the other exists.
John@abc.com lives on one side, Mary@abc.com lives on the other side.
An external mail spam filter receives all @abc.com mx traffic and handles the routing internall between both
John needs to email Mary, but can't because the exch server that John lives in doesn't see Mary because she lives on another abc.com exch server that John's doesn't know about.
So here's the question;
Can John's exch send Mary's email out to the internet after realizing it can't resolve Mary internally?
