Createing a Cert

Good Day,

We are using Exchange 2010 SP2 I am about to update our cert (SAN with 5 alternate names) nothing has changed but our old cert is about to run out. I am stuck on something that I could use a little input on.

I am at the stage of creating the first part of the cert so I can send it out but during the certificate configuration part I am not sure if I should check a part or not.

I am sure I need to check the following

Outlook Web App, Exchange ActiveSync, and Client Access server as we use all of these options

Client Access server (pop/Imap) we do not use matter of fact IMAP service is not even enabled

Unified Messaging server we do NOT use ether

Which brings us up to Hub service and TLS that is the one I am not sure we use.  I went into Hub transport and verified that my connectors showTransport Layer Security (TLS) is checked this tells me from what I was able to find out that we are in deed using TLS.

So should I check Use mutual TLS to help secure Internet Mail?

We have no Legacy domains so not an issue.

So here are my questions

From what I have found out it appears that I need to check Use Mutual TLS is this correct?

Can I check IMAP and not use it but say on some later date if I start the service I am covered with this cert.

Thank You

Adam Raff
