Rejected senders for Ressource mailbox, mail is blocked but calendar request still get processed, Exchange 2010

I have a strange situation in my mail environment,

I tried to block meeting rooms to reserve another meeting room,

So I created a dynamic list with all the meeting rooms in it, that I put in rejected senders in Mail Flow Settings,Message Delivery Restrictions,

The problem is that I see that the mail is not arriving ( No message of Tentative,) but in the calendar the items still creates a slot with tentative,

Someone has a solution, how can I really block this DL and the meeting will not appear..?

Disallowing local Exchange users from Email each others using different "Sender ID"

Hello everyone, 
I am having hard time with this one as I have tried everything possible that I know of but to no avail. I have a customer who have 20 thousand users on Exchange 2010. There is 8 MBX servers, 4 Hub transport and 4 CAS Servers. 

The customer is complaining as some of their "Employees or Students" are using Telnet to send emails to one another using a different "Sender ID". 

This works through the default connector "Default Servername" .. 

I already told the customer to limit the servers that communicate with Exchange servers by placing IP range of the servers they have which count to hundreds of servers divided into multiple network Subnets. 

So I am looking for a solution to allow the default connector to block all users on the network from sending emails using Telnet. Is this possible at all?

Mail flow contingency for two internet breakouts.

Hi guys

Please could you advise as to the following setup configured for my Exchange server.

Our building consists of two internet breakouts, whereby the standalone 2013 Std server are configured by a public IP of the one ISP for all mail flow. We had an incident recently where this ISP line was faulty, and the second ISP line took over.

All desktop PC's and so forth were unaffected by the change of ISP for internet availability, which is not the case for the exchange services. My question is how and if possible can I configure Exchange to have the same automatic switch to the second ISP line when there's an incident like this again, having no or little disruption to the email flow and connection to Exchange from all desktops.

Add signature before replied email text block

Currently, my company email's signature is handled by mail flow rules in Exchange Online. My question is, is it possible to put the signature between our message and the block for replied messages? Since with long email trails, the signatures would end up at the bottom of the email, and if someone needs to know the details of a particular sender, they would need to scroll all the way down searching through a bunch of signatures for the one they need. Changing the replied messages block isn't an option, for legal purposes (preserving evidence).

I hope I explained this right, since this is a question from a staff (a legal manager for my company). Also, if someone made a thread about this, please direct me to it.

Recipient filtering doesn't work in Exchange 2013 enviroment

Good day all,

I am trying to activate Recipient filtering on my Exchange Edge 2013 server by using the manual below:

For some reason when I perform test using telnet nothing works.

Basically I should see something like this, but so far I am able to send e-mails as uknown user

Hi All

We have Exchange 2013 Cu10 and Transport rule to inspect & forward for moderation password protected attachments - all is ok, but all attachments with 7z archives matches this rule - but attachments not password protected.

How to fix this ?

exchange 2013 smtp connector routing question

Environment:

Exchange 2013 CU10 combined role server. Currently ALL external messages are routed through a 3rd party service provider using a smarthost in the send connector.

Problem:

Need the ability to send SOME external messages though another service provider.

Ideally I want to end up with 2 send connectors where 1st send connector is always used, unless user specifies in the subject or body of the message a key word which would instruct exchange to route through the 2nd connector. Wondering if this is doable with a SetRoutingOverride method?

We are using splunk to monitor exchange 2013. We keep getting these alerts "The SMTP availability of the Receive connector smtp inbound was low (38 percent) in the last 15 minutes."

I was wondering do these monitoring thresholds need to be modified within exchange? I don't want to turn the monitor off. I just need to tweak it so that it alerts when there is a real issue. And not a false positive.

Delay Emails - winsock error code 10060 exchange 2013

 Hi,

     My name is Bharat. From Last 6 months i have been facing mails delay problem with my Exchange Server 2013.

Details of Problem -  I can see emails are stucked in Queue Viewer & it shows retry and winsock error code 10060.

after 25-30 min at automatically shows ready in queue & mails get delivered as well as receives. I am not able to

understand why this is happening ? Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi,

    I am bharat, in Exchange Server 2013 i am seeing " 1019    Error    MSExchangeFrontEndTransport " error in Server Manager. & it shows error description - Failed to start listening (Error: 10048). Binding: 0.0.0.0:25.

Please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Exchange 2010 Mail Flow problem

Dear All as there is no Exchange 2010, so I select Exchange 2013.

Exchange 2010 SP3, No Antivirus

We have Two AD Sites & One DAG "TIGER" 

In HeadOffice: 2 Mailboxes & 2 HUB/CAS (10 Databases)

In DR: 1 Mailbox+Hub/CAS (All Roles in Single)

Now in test scenario we move only One DB users from HeadOffice to DR, while others are at HeadOffice.

In this situation my users successfully connected from DR site, while testing email flow

Users from DR send me email and I received in my Inbox

When I from HeadOffice send email to DR users they didnt receive any email.

I found all mails in DR Server Queues "Site=Active Directory Site" Error" 451 4.4.0 dns query failed smtpsend.dns.nonexistentdomain"

Can someone please help me to troubleshoot/resolve this issue.

Exchange 2013 Email routing

I was working on getting some Exchange log information today and came across something that I thought was strange. First let me give you some background on our setup. We have 3 Mailbox servers and 3 CAS servers. All of which are in a DAG. Two of the mailbox servers and 2 of the CAS servers are located here in our data center. We have a mailbox and CAS server in another data center. The majority of the time all of our mailbox databases are mounted in our local data center. In AD Sites and Services The remote Exchange server has an IP address that is associated with a network that is under the remote data center site.

So looking through some of the logs I noticed that when users were sending email internally, the email would go out to the remote mailbox server and then route to the mailbox server that is located here. Again all of the mailbox databases are mounted on the servers here. I am not sure why this is happening or how to change it. But basically if a user whose mailbox is on database "A" on Server 1 sends an email to another user in the same database, the email goes to server 3 and then routes back to Server 1.  Why is this happening? How do I fix it.

DAG group replication question

I currently have two 2013 exchange servers at our primary site in a DAG group.

DAG group replicaiton traffic is on its on subnet, traffic separate from MAPI network.

wanting to add 3rd exchange to the dag group at a remote site, connected via IPSEC VPN tunnel.

I have read that the DAG group cannot have a gateway, but my firewall people tell me they cannot route traffic to the remote site without a gateway.

so obviously I am misunderstanding something, can someone straighten me out here?

Error 451 Dns Query Failed

Hi,

It's been a while since I seek why it does not work, but still nothin, so I come to ask your help please.

Currently I can send email internally and externally.
But impossible to receive from the outside, I get that error on Edge :

exchange.internal.domain / SmartHostConnectorDelivery / Error 451 DNS Query Failed. SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistantdomain

Here are my configurations

- AD local only

- Exchange
ETH0: lan (dns to AD)
ETH1: wan (dns 8.8.8.8)

- Edge Transport
ETH0: lan (dns to AD)
ETH1: wan (dns 8.8.8.8)
HOSTS File + (+ exchange.local.domain exchange host)
Test-Sync status: Normal

EAC configurations
Server / Mailbox / DNS Lookup:
- WAN: external network adapter DNS 8.8.8.8 +
- Local: + DNS internal network adapter "AD IP"
- Type Certificate UCC installed (if it can change something?)

Mail Flow:
- Sent EdgeSync Connector Default: MX + server use external DNS

On the local DNS server (AD), with or without forward to 8.8.8.8 does not change anything.


What did I forget?

Transport rule in exchange 2010 generates more than 1 copy of message

we have configured a hub tansport rule to bcc all the messages send to a group, rule works but the user receives that message for 10 times.

Couldnt figure out the issue , felt many number of databases but now i have reduced the databases to only 2 but still the rule does this. 

Please adise what else to check.
