Issue when Creating a Federation Trust with MFG (Microsoft Federation Gateway)
I am trying to create a Federation Trust with MFG (Microsoft Federation Gateway). However, I am running into a problem. I see in the following that link (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607475(v=exchg.141).aspx) that I have to run this command:
Set-ExchangeServer -Identity "MAIL01" -InternetWebProxy "<Webproxy URL>"
Please note that I have the following in our Exchange 2010 SP3 environment:
Two CAS/HT Servers (CAS Array between the two)
Two mailbox servers (DAG between the two)
One mailbox server (for stand-alone mailbox/archive databases)
We use windows load balancing and the internal/external VIP name is "mail.domain.com"
1. What do I put for the "Web Proxy URL"?
2. Do I have to run the Set-ExchangeServer -Identity "MAIL01" -InternetWebProxy "<Webproxy URL>" command on every server?
Is there a way to create a rule that sends and Auto Response for a shared mailbox?
I have a shared mailbox set up that receives emails that are sent to 3 different addresses:
information@mycompany.com
orders@mycompany.com
technical@mycompany.com
I would like to create a rule that would send an auto response when someone emails one of these addresses. However, I don't want an auto response sent to orders@mycompany.com so I can't just set up an "out of office" reply for the mailbox.
Is there a way that I can create a rule to send an automated response to 2 of the 3 addresses?

How to send emails to distribution group MS Exchange Server 2010?
First off, I have this message here because I could not find a forum for Exchange 2010. Please excuse this.
Alright, I'm not very versed in Exchange, (learning as I go) so please forgive me for the lack of proper details/ lingo.
I'm trying to create email distribution groups for my church.
We need to be able to send a single email to a group, and have it forward out to everyone in that group.
For example: if I send an email to 'deacons@church.com', the email needs to go to every email address (even personal) that is in the 'deacons' distribution group.
So far, I can make it where ONLY people on the church network can send to the distribution groups, and then, ONLY emails that are created FROM the church network can receive them.
This is some headway, obviously, but I am just at a loss as to how to 'open' this group up to the 'general public'.
I need to have the distribution groups based off of the server, and NOT people' individual email/ Outlook accounts, because members of the congregation need to be able to send messages to these emails as well. I can't create individual distribution groups for 1000+ people Outlooks.
Any help would be spectacular.
Exchange 2013 Spam Email sent to wrong recipient
Hello,
One of my users reported a dangerous Spam email containing a "You received a voice mail" subject and an attached zip file. This address was a spoofed one from our own internal domain no-reply@ourdomain.com. I did see some emails just like this get caught by exchange spam filters but somehow this one got thru.
I figured out it got thru because I had my own domain whitelisted in spam fighter exchange module. Hopefully changing this will allow the other agents to block this kind of email going forward, but the big problem is not just that it got thru but that it wasn't even addressed to the recipient that actually received it.
How can an email addressed to user1@domain.com be received byuser2@domain.com? I've verified these two users have nothing shared between them, nothing delegated or forwarded. User1 is a mailbox that is no longer in use, but hasn't been disabled yet. This is the first and only time I've seen this, but I'm concerned about legitimate email getting routed incorrectly.
Here is the message properties with my info replaced for security purposes. It doesn't even mention the actual user2 address anywhere. Any ideas on how this got routed wrong?

Mail is Slow between Exchange 2010 and 2013 During Co-Existance Transition
Hello,
I recently migrated from a single Exchange 2003 server to a single Exchange 2010 server
I am now trying to Migrate from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.
I have a test user on Exchange 2013, and Internet Mail works fine and quickly both inbound and outbound.
However, when I try and send between a 2010 user to my 2013 user, delivery takes around 10 minutes.
On the 2013 server I see health check messages, and my 2010 user's message stuck in retry status. The messages eventually clear and the mail is delivered. Any ideas what is causing this delay?
In terms of connectors I have all the defaults. And I created 1 for internal relays from devices. Which works fine.
I have two Exchange 2013 servers configured in a DAG, but I don't have a load balance in place as of yet. So only server 1 is being accessed as the CAS.
Thanks
Sender name contains recipient name
Looking for help with respect to configuring MS Exchange server to handle attachments over 10 MB for forwarding to Salesforce (Email-to-case).
Problem - SFDC does not create cases from emails that have more than 10 MB of attachments. Our clients will not go-live if their clients cannot send in emails with attachments over 10 MBs
Potential resolution - Configure MS exchange to strip off the attachments(if over 10 MB) and store it in a public folder, forward the email to Salesforce (so the case gets created or the email is associated to an existing case), the client should have some way to know if the attachments were stripped off and should be able to dlownload the attachments and continue with case resolution.
Any help is appreicated!
Thanks
how to change properties of multiple mailbox in 2010
Hi
I want to know how to change the properties of multiple mailboxes in 2010.
Because in exchange 2007 we cant select multiple mailboxes,so we changed information of mailbox or settings of mailbox by one by one.
Is this possible to select multiple mailboxes in exchange 2010 and update settings of them at a one time.

IIS SMTP Relay
We are using windows server 2008 Server R2. We installed IIS and the SMTP relay component. It is setup to relay mail to our exchange 2010 CAS server. All internal mail is relaying properly on this server to the exchange 2010 CAS server to internal email addresses. When someone tries to send to a recipient outside the organization such as to domain name hotmail.com, gmail.com microsoft .com, it does not relay the message. When I check the logs it looks like it does not even relay the external email address to the cas server.
The error message we get is below. Please assist in what is wrong.

Exchange 2013 TransportRoles\Data\Temp filling up disk
I have a single multi-role Exchange 2013 server and it would appear that it's not properly maintaining the temp files for the transport service. I still have all those folder locations at their default and the problem folder is c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\data\Temp
I never had a problem with this in Exchange 2007 but I am used to running a PowerShell script nightly to clean up the IIS log files. Do I need to do something similar for this temp folder? Is there a setting I can adjust so that Exchange will limit the size of this folder itself? If I stop the transport service and delete the files here will I lose anything?
Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Forward NonExistent Email to another internal server ip
Hello we are migrating to exchange 2013 from an iMail server. we want to keep our list server up and running as exchange doesn't handle lists very well. How do we setup a forward on an nonexistent email address on the same domain name to go to our old imail server?
Here is a diagram of what we are wanting:
ISP -> Firewall -> Exchange 2013 -> nonexistent email -> iMail Server

User mailboxes have more server-side rule options then shared mailboxes?
I was hoping to set up some server-side rules to keep a shared mailbox clean. The goal was to have some rules to move incoming messages to specific folders based off words in the subject. I opened the shared mailbox in OWA and found the action of moving the message to a folder was not available. At first I figured that's an action that's only available in a client-side rule. However, I then found that in my user mailbox that action is available server-side. It would appear there are a number of other action that are available server side to user but not shared mailboxes.
Anybody else notice this? Is this a bug?
Single Exchange 2013 SP1 server - nothing fancy.
Removed DAG but Shadow Redundancy Queue is Stuck
Hello,
I currently have 3 Exchange servers setup in Co-Existence (EX2010, EX2013A, EX2013B). The 2010 Server is still the public facing server.
I had the two 2013 servers setup in a DAG which I could not get to work properly (Mailflow issues), so I removed it in hopes of returning the servers to standalone status.
The DAG appears to be gone. But in the Queue Viewer on EX2013A I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013B with 400 messages in the queue and counting. There are lots of healthmailbox messages from before I removed the DAG.
The Queue Viewer on EX2013B I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013A with 600 messages in the queue and counting.
Mailflow seems to work fine from all directions
Right now there are just a few test mailboxes on the 2013 servers, I want to make sure the environment is safe before migrating production mailboxes.
Thoughts?
