dns setting require for mail server 2013

Hello Support,

I have install exchange server 2013 and working fine but right now i have some change in DNS server record and my mail services stop. what record add to start my mail services ( sent and received). till now exchange server mail box give the error mail not connected with server. Please revered ASAP.

When user in our domain send mails to domains on O365, they get a DSN.

We check Spamhaus.org and our IP and domain are clear.

Any ideas?

Add a secondary address using email address policies

Hi

My primary email address is applied using email address policy with priority 1. This is contoso.com

I need to add a secondary email address of exchange.contoso.com - I created another email address policy of priority 2. I applied and updated. But the secondary email address is not added to my users.

How can I accomplish this???

Hi guys!

We got Exchange 2013 in the Internet facing ADsite.

If an externat user use telnet to port 25, we need to prevent that a mail from our own domain can be accepted.

In Exchange 2010, we prevent this removing the ExtendedRights ms-exch-smtp-accept-authoritative-domain-sender on ther Internet connector.

Now in Exchange 2013, we remove this ExtendedRights in the FrontEnd Internet Connector, but the mail is accepted anyway.

Any idea if this behavior change in Exchange 2013?

my Retention Policy works good but I need setup some filters

filter for some email boxes

filtered emails should stay in Inbox folder and does not move into archive folder

how I can do it ?

Exchange transport rule so a message classification

I can create the RMS template in the RMS management utility on the RMS server, put the templates in a shared location and enable RMS by specifying a template location in a Group Policy.

               The result is thatusers will see the message classifications in Outlook

but when I try to create a transport rule based on the template, the templates are not available in ECP in the dropdown for message classification (the ones you see in the example below are there b/c I added them via Exchange powershell.

The other way to add message classifications is to create them in PowerShell on the mail server.  When created this way the Message classifications show up when creating a new rule (as seen above) butthe end users don’t see them in Outlook. 

One source says to make a registry change on the user’s computers:

Next, copy the XML file to a location on the client or networked location which is readable by Users. On the client, make the following registry changes:

After trying both a network share and a local file, the Classifications still don’t show up in Outlook.

So the only way to get them to show up in Outlook doesn’t allow you to include them in a transport rule (and thus you’re not able to create a rule that allows forwarding inside the domain only) and the way to get them to show up when creating a transport rule doesn’t seem to work as far as getting them to show in Outlook.

Adding them via PowerShell on the Exchange server actually does get them to show up in OWA the way you would expect, they just won't show in Outlook 2010. I imagine the issue is with the reg entry that points Outlook to the xml
file….(and I do realize reference given is Offfice 2013)  it’s entirely
possible that Office 2010 requires a new key in a slightly different place but
im only seeing references to office 2007 and 2013

Problems when forwarding NDR's the get translated to Chinese garble (if it is Chinese :) )

Hi There

We're running on an Exchange 2013 server. When users get a NDR (look OK at this time), but when forwarding the NDR to system admin, they get garbled into Chinese (or what looks like Chinese). Any ideas on solving this ?

External Incoming Email Problem

Dear all,

Am stuck, with the incoming external emails from one of the email servers in my domain that I have just deployed on one of the child domains,

I am able to send and receive emails between the exchange servers, and am also able to send emails to external domains like Gmail. but when I send from Gmail, the mails are reporting in the Edge Transport logs but not coming to the hub transport server. the funny thing is that when I create the receive  connector the same time I can am able to send but when I send a send one it never come in the inbox.

I not very sure where the email are getting stuck coz there is no error coming in my gmail account to tell the problem.

Your Usual support is greatly appreciated

How to allow 35 MB/unlimited attachment from single /multiple user mailbox

Hi,

I have allow 35 MB attachment from user mailbox option, organization setting and send / received connector.

But when I have send a mail for outside domain with more than 10 MB attachments , it got fail…

Kindly suggest how I can enable 35 MB attachments from exchange 2013.

Product details : Exchange 2013 SP1.

Gateway : Trend micro scan mail.

Our senders are sometimes receiving the below error message while sending emails to our Exchange 2010:

Delivery Failure Report

Your message: Re: Mail error

was not delivered to: our receiver email address

because: 550 < our receiver email address
No such user here<o:p></o:p>



What should you do?

You can resend the undeliverable document to the recipients listed above by
choosing the Resend button or the Resend command on the Actions menu. 

Once you have resent the document you may delete this Delivery Failure Report.

If resending the document is not successful you will receive a new failure
report.

Unless you receive other Delivery Failure Reports, the document was
successfully delivered to all other recipients

I am in the process of migrating a single Exchange 2013 install (CAS+MBX co-located) to two separate installs, a CAS and MBX server. Mail has been flowing in via my new CAS for around a week now, I had altered DNS and IPs for this. Yesterday I migrated the last mailboxes off the old server and then un-installed Exchange, which appeared to happen cleanly and without issue. I am now facing an issue where my CAS server will not receive emails, reporting "4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later. PRX4" when I try to send an email. If I send emails directly to the MBX server, they arrive without issue.This was working before I removed the old Exchange server. Any ideas? I'm really stuck here.


How to force all internal mail to local transport service?

We have written a routing agent for our transport service which modifies email attachments destined for external recipients. Our problem is that sometimes internal recipients who are copied on these emails do not receive the modified email. We're running Exchange 2013 with 3 servers (CAS+MBX).

I believe this is by design, i.e. how the mail flow / mailbox transport service works.

Question: How can we force all emails to go via the local transport service, such that both internal and external recipients will receive the modified email?

Hi,

I have exchange 2013. The issue is whenever a user try to send an email to us.ibm.com we got the following error.

451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: DNS query failed with error ErrorRetry

our server is successfully resolving the MX of us.ibm.com but email got stuck in the queue

Mail Stuck in Queue, Event ID 1018. But the referenced Receive Connector does not exist.

I'm receiving the current Event ID's 1018 on an Exchange Server 2013 CAS/Mailbox server causing all received/incoming mail, for all users to be stuck in the mail queue:

The problem I have is that the Receive Connector 'Default Mailbox Delivery CASMX01' doesn't exist on the box. So I don't know where or how to delete it.
I've tried removing (and recreating) the current 'Default Frontend CASMX01', and also renaming it to 'Default Mailbox Delivery CASMX01'. But this hasn't worked.

I can't find any reference to this receive connector anywhere. Running Get-ReceiveConnector gives:

Hi All,

I hasve a new install of Exchange 2013 in the test stages at the moment.

I have a domain which is not in use at present on exchange until we go live of abc.com, this is currenty used on web based email via a provider. This is intended to be our only email address in the future.

We have a second domain for testing of xyz.com we can receive emails to this address, but for some reason cannot send out at all.

When we login to the OWA, the only address we can send from is abc.com which has no mx records associated at present, but xyz.com does have mx records in place.

xyz.com passes the connectivity tests for outgoing smtp testing, as does the OWA.

I am usure of how to troubleshoout this, Get-TransportService | get-queue shows nothing in the queues, so I presume mail is leaving site and just getting lost, maybe it not looking at the right mx record for xyz.com.

I'm sure this is all as clear as mud, put hopefully someone can help me resolve this.

Exchange 2013 mailflow issues & transport latency

Hi,

we have more then 50 Exchange Server 2013 deployed and every single Exchange has transport issues.

-the transport Service do not respond for 30 min or more.

-RAM consumption

-the e-mail are stock in outlook for long time

-we have Exchaneg 2013 with all CUs / SP1 version installed and i cannot see any improvement.

I m disappointed and i hope that someone can help me to understand the Exchange 2013 Mailflow

i need your idea about how to implement a email share between 3 users

i have a email info@domain.com, i have 3 users A, B , C

i want the email info@doamin.com to be used throught the 3 users.

the machine is a memeber of a domain controller

the users A and B and C doesn't have own email adres. they will have to use only info@domain.com

Multiple Authoritative domains, trying to get a mail flow rule to trigger when email is sent to only one of the authoritative domains (not the default reply to)

We used recently added an authoritative domain to our exchange 2013 server. After about a month we made the changeover in our default mail policy to make newdomain.com the default reply to. Mail flow is working ok, people can email user@olddomain.com and user@newdomain.com.

What's not working is a mail flow rule I setup to try and intercept all mail being sent to anybody @olddomain.com and BCC it to a specific mailbox. I know that the BCC portion is working because if I have it trigger on a specific recipient (whole mailbox) it works fine, but I can't seem to get it to trigger based on the recipient email address. I've put rules several ways including:

The recipient address includes:

olddomain.com

olddomain

@olddomain.com

*@olddomain.com

As well as:

The recipient domain is:

olddomain.com

olddomain

@olddomain.com

*@olddomain.com

I even tried matching the To: field in the header and having it match the text:

olddomain.com

Nothing appears to be working. Any suggestions?

SenderID SPF Include keyword bad evaluation

Hello there in Exchange forums.

I have Exchange 2010 server with all current patches and SenderID action set to reject if SPF fails. If the domain is using keyword include in their SPF TXT record (such as account.microsoft.com where for example onedrive mails come from), the sender ID fails with 550 5.7.1 Sender ID (PRA) Not Permitted, instead of accept message.

Do anyone resolve that?
