How to send shadow redundancy mail from secondary server of exchange
Relay does not work after server in other site owns databases
Hi All,
We have a distant site and an exchange server in the site which is a part of our DAG. Cluster owner is the server in our site. we moved all the DBs there , there are some applications that rely on relay and they are unable to send emails externally while emails internal recipients is fine. while the smtp gateway cannot see the traffic of emails sent from the applications when we emails sent from a mailbox the email is delivered to the external recipient.
Help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Email disappears as soon as it hits the Inbox
Hi,
I have a strange problem. I have one user out of 80 that is experiencing this issue. When he receives an email it goes to his Inbox (Outlook and OWA) and disappears in less than 5 seconds. I checked his Junk Mail, Deleted folder and nothing. I think it started when I deleted his Bulk Email folder. For some reason some valid emails are redirecting itself to the Bulk (even internal mails) that is the reason I deleted it. There is no rule to move emails to Bulk. After the deletion this problem started where the emails will disappear from Inbox and nowhere to be found. My work around right now is I created a Sub Folder in his Inbox and created a rule to move the all new messages there and it works. To test I have set it to go to Inbox and the new Sub Folder but it never stays in the Inbox. I don't have POP or IMAP setup on the Exchange server. I recreated his Outlook profile (I don't think this is the problem since it happens in OWA as well), I disabled all his Add ins in Outlook. I am running out of ideas. Please help.
Thank you,
Maria

Excahnge Server NDR 5.2.3
Hello,
I have 2 excahnge servers,
domainA.com exchange server 2010
domainB.com exchange server 2013
I have send connectors and receive connectors on both sides that emails between these 2 domains are flown inside, the problem is that when I'm sending large mail from domainA.com to domainB.com NDR 5.2.3 is generated and received in mailbox from domainA.com mailbox, but from domainB.com to domainA NDR isn't received, so far domainA.com exchange 2010 isn't generating NDRs

Change mail flow between mailbox/cas servers
Hi,
Currently we have an mixture of Exchange 2010 mailbox/cas/hub and Exchange 2013 mailbox/cas servers with an edge exchange 2013 servers. The incoming emails coming from the edge server sends mail to the Exchange 2010 mailbox/cas/hub server. We want to change the incoming emails coming from the edge server to the Exchange 2013 mailbox/cas server because most of the incoming emails go the the mailboxes on the Exchange 2013 server. Does anyone know if this is something possible to do and how? Thank you very much!

relay from Exchange 2013 to Office 365 to external using unauthenticated senders
Here is my scenario:
Architecture: on-premise to external mail is being routed from our internal MB/HT, through an Edge Transport server (in DMZ), out to Proofpoint (external mail filtering service) then on to the external mailbox (hotmail, gmail, etc.).
Problem: I need to re-route this flow so after messages are sent from MB/HT and on to the Edge, they are then routed through Office 365 and on to the external mailbox. The problem is, I'm getting a "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay" when the message hits
the Edge Transport server. These messages are unauthenticated and using a sending domain that is not registered in our Office 365 tenant (i.e. @NoReply.com, @RandomDomain.com, etc.)
The easy answer is to change the sending address to use sending domains which are registered in our Office 365 tenant, but we're talking about several hundred application servers sending these emails.
The certificate on the Office 365 inbound connector matches the certificate being used to send from the Edge, so I'm really not sure what else to do. I have a feeling a custom connector needs to be created on the Edge server to allow for for these unauthenticated
messages, but I don't know enough about creating connectors programatically.
My issue is exactly what appears in Important notice for Office 365 email customers who have configured connectors, and I have already configured an inbound connector in Exchange Online using a certificate.
Any help is much appreciated.
Emails from scanner with user's email address as a sender are going to Junk
Hi there,
I have several scanners with the same config, which send emails to Exchange server. Scanners are configured to send emails with a user as a Sender and a Receiver. The problem is that from one particular scanner emails are detected as Junk. Obviously users can't add their own email addresses to Whitelist. From other scanners all good. Any idea where can be the problem?
Thanks!

Email messages stuck in Queue
Hii All,
We are using exchange server 2013 untill recently it was found that many emails were getting stuck in queue.
However when i configure network card with external public dns(8.8.8.8) and check the option use external dns lookup in send connector then all the external domain emails are going find and quick. but internal emails get stuck in queue.(This is happening for few domains and for others its working fins)
But with above configuration in place we are facing problem in sending/receiving internal emails.Again we have to remove the public dns from network settings and unchck the option use external dns lookup from send connector settings. Then all internal emails works fine.
IAM NOT SURE WHERE i am going wrong WITH THE CONFIGURATION is it with the DNS or the exchange settings.
Thanks in advance
Configure delivery failure email notice for external domain emails
Hi All,
I need some technical advise. Today, i've 1 domain name :
mydomain.xxxx.sss.com.
In the domain name, i've email services available. However, email can only be sent within the domain name.
So A1@mydomain.xxxx.sss.com
can only email to A2@mydomain.xxxx.sss.com
AI@mydomain.xxxx.sss.com are not able to email out of the email domain such as gmail.com. We've configured an delivery failure notification.
However, we notice that if someone from external email domain such as A3@gmail.com tried to email to A1@mydomain.xxxx.sss.com. There isn't any delivery failure notification neither is there any bounce message. The email went into the sender's sent box.
Can i know for such cases, where will the email from A3@gmail.com toA1@mydomain.xxxx.sss.com route to?
How can i configure delivery failure notification or bounceback message to A3@gmail.com that the email are not routed to the recipient?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Exchange Self Sign Certificate Expired ( Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Exchange Server Auth Certificate)
Hi Team,
I have exchange 2013 setup and I noticed that "Microsoft Exchange Server Auth Certificate" is already expired and "Microsoft Exchange" self signed certificate is yet to expire next week.
as per the below link I thought self signed certificates in exchange will renew automatically. can you please confirm me whether I need to renew it manually or it will renew automatically.
If I suppose to renew manually, please help me with the steps for both certificate renewal. (Auth Certificate and Microsoft Exchange) auth certificate is already expired and another one is about to expire next week.
Thanks
Vikram
Three server relay
Let me explain the issue because there are two of them (we think).
We have three exchange servers.
A. Exchange 2007 (in a WS2008 AD)
B. Exchange 2013 (in a WS2012 AD)
C. Exchange 2019 (in a WS2019 AD)
There are several domain names on server B, but only one domain that is shared between all three servers.
For over a year, A and B shared a domain, then C was installed this year (two weeks ago).
None of the servers are in the same AD.
External mail for the sharedomain.com comes to B.
If it gets mail for users that aren't on B it relays to A.
When someone on A sends e-mail to a user not on A it gets relayed to B.
Once C was introduced, C was told to forward to B, B still to A, and A changed to forward to C.
It was working for a couple of days then stopped.
Also, server C will not send any e-mail at all, even though the logs say e-mail is being handed off.
Even Hotmail is not receiving e-mail from server C.
Also we're assuming that B stopped receiving from C but can't show it.
Any help is appreciated.

Disable/Configure back pressure
Hi,
I am an IT trainee with a question regarding the Back Pressure rule in Exchange.
A customer complains that their e-mail flow had completely stopped. We are aware that it is caused by Back Pressure and that it is triggered once storage space is critically low. The thing is that the customer still seem to have plenty of space left, as in
hundreds of GB.
Now my question is: How do I customize at what percentage Back Pressure is triggered? Or if possible, how do I disable it completely?
I have googled around and couldn't find clear instructions for a starter to understand.
Thank you in advance,
G. Tan
