Hello everyone,
I have an Hybrid Exchange 2013 environment with Edge Server and an Antispam.
I will change my Antispam and I change the smarthost in Edge pointing to the new antispam´s IP I notice the following error on emails stuck on queue:
“The error was: 421 4.4.2 Connection dropped due to SocketError." Attempted failover to alternate host, but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternate hosts, or delivery failed to all alternate hosts. The last endpoint attempted was 104.47.59.138:25};{FQDN=mydomain.mail.protection.outlook.com};{IP=104.47.59.138}]”.
I need a help for this question:
since I have an Edge Server, I have to change the smarthost pointing to the new Antispam´s IP, remove the subscription, create a new subscription, then run the HCW (Hybrid Configuration Wizard)? Do I have not to change the Receive Connector, only the Send Connector, is that right?
As per I know, we cannot use a public certificate in Edge server so I do not change the self-signed certificate used in connector, right?
If anyone can help me, I appreciate.
Thank you.
Best Regards.

how to remove duplicate mail contact in exchange 2010
Satish Chaturvedi Mob-9990806001
Today, we had an individual reply to an email that wasn't sent to them. The sender checked and said he didn't send that user the email message. When searching the message tracking logs, I can find where the individual replied to the unexpected email but I cannot find where the sender sent the message to that particular recipient. I can find where he sent it to his intended recipients with no problem. I have used get-messagetrackinglogs quite frequently and have pretty much always been able to find what I'm looking for but this one has me baffled.
I've narrowed the search to just the hours around when the email was sent accounting for UTC. I've narrowed by subject, recipient, and various eventID's. Nothing turns up the original email and when and who sent it to them. I've also checked for every email message sent by the original sender and every email message received by the individual from before the original email was sent to the present time. Nothing but the response to the original message is found. Nothing shows up indicating the email was ever sent to the unexpected recipient by the sender or received from the sender by the unexpected recipient. I'm at a loss here.
Has anyone ever experienced exchange "accidentally" dropping an email in a mailbox that wasn't a recipient of that particular email? I think Microsoft would make absolutely sure that could never happen because lawsuits would be bad if people received information in an email that they weren't supposed have access to.
HALP!!
Hi,
does anyone know whether I can define eMail filters in outlook 2007 in order to direct spam mails into other folder?
Up to now I use the firefox for my yahoo mails but I realized that some spamers use utf-8 encodings
in the subject and in the mail body, so my defined filters apply probably before decoding to ASCII.
I think it's because of this.
But filters with "contain" "utf-8" didn't apply too...I hope therefore outlook 2007 could be a solution....
Thanks

Ok everyone, I'm out of permutations of things to try to block numbers with 9 contiguous numbers like 123456789. We're doing to this to block SSN's from being sent both internally and externally.
I've used every pattern from \d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d to ^\s\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d(\s|$) and none will seem to block the numbers like I want. I can get it to block 9 digit numbers but when I send a 10 digit number, it get's blocked too. IF anyone has a pattern that'll block all 9 digit numbers ONLY whether they have text before, space before, and text or spaces after, I'd like to see it. I'm burned out trying different combinations of these patterns.
thanks in advance
We have this situation.
A program on a server in the lan uses the internal Exchange Server 2013 (same lan) via a receive connector.
That program sends a mail to the user who is logged on in that program and to an external email address. It does this via a receive connector we created.
We have now set the logging to -verbose on that receive connector which let the program use the mail server.
When we go searching via the EMC in mail flow and then delivery reports (+ the correct mailbox) we don't see the mail send to the user although the user has received the mail. And the sending to the external mail address is also not noticable.
But when we do a search via the powershell with the command we see the message, indeed. So there must be a difference.
That is my first question.
My second question is:
What is the correct way to see if a message has been delivered to an external mail address? I know we only can see "delivered" but were can we see that? And can we see that through the specific receive connector or through the send connector? Because when a program is using a receive connector do we have to use the logging of the receive connector or do we have to use the send connector logging? The send connector logging is not configured with -verbose, so none.
And third question and last is:
What does that error means? Was the message send or not?
Kind regards
Kurt
Hi Concern,
I have 2 AD site supposed name is DC site and another one is DR site and 3 Exchange server 2 are in DC site and another 1 is DR site.
My mail flow should be: DC site email goes through only DC site Exchange server and DR site email goes through only DR site Exchange server.
It needs to additional configuration require or nothing else?
Which will be the best practice in this scenario. Please advise and help me to find the solution.
Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.

Please help me why this error comes out, everything seems to be right
Dear All,
Please help in this matter,
mail queue size grower and grower. please suggest what can i do.
in below mentioned URL all are done but still issue persist. i cant move this folder to another drive
https://www.collaborationpro.com/exchange-2013-logging/
We just migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 and we have a very strand issue that I can't quite put my finder on. Whenever a specific user is CC'd together with a mail enabled PF in the same email, a 2 minutes delay is introduced only for this user. Before I give you my troubleshooting steps, here are the different test scénarios I tried :
external sender to PF with User1 and User2 CC'd = PF and User2 receive email instantly andUser1 receives email 2 minutes later
external sender to User1 = No delay
external sender to User2 with PF CC'd = No delay
external sender to User1 with PF CC'd = 2 minutes delay on User
The message for User1 get's stuck in the submission queue for 2 minutes with the Error message : Message rerouted and delayed by store driver
Here is a tracking a faulty message where the user was CC'd (User2 is set to forward email to externalcontact, you can ignore that) :
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated.
Dear All,
I am having an issue with the mail flow in Exchange 2013, and would like to receive your assistance in resolving this issue. This particular issue is only happening between two selected mailboxes in the same domain.
Problem synopsis:
Mailbox1@domain.com is not able to send and receive to Mailbox2@domain.com, and vice versa.
Other mailboxes in the same domain are able to send and receive from above mentioned mailboxes. Only these two particular mailboxes are not able to send the mail to each other.
Thank you, Faraz.

Hello guys, I have a weird case that requires the community expertise.
Issue: When you send an invite to the Supervisors' group, the Backoffice group also receives it.This only happens with invites, not with e-mails.
Scenario
Exchange: On-premises
Group1: Supervisors
Group2: Backoffice
My first though was that the Backoffice group was member of Supervisors, but it wasn`t. It only had users.
Then, just in case, I checked if there were any delegation. No delegation.
Maybe some user had an inbox rule to forward/redirect it, but none had (checked with "Get-InboxRule -Mailbox <UPN> | Select-Object -Property Name,Description,RedirectTo,ForwardTo,ForwardAsAttachmentTo")
Also checked if this wasn't the case of iOS 10.3.3 forwarding the invites (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4014990/meeting-invitations-are-forwarded-by-an-attendee-for-an-existing-meeti), but the users that have iOS are using 13.5.1.
This only occurs with invites. When an e-mail is sent to Supervisors, Backoffice doesn`t receives it. But when an invite is sent, both receives.
Any idea of what may be causing the issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advanced.
