On our new Exchange 2013 server, we have looked at the SMS notification feature, with which a user who is only allowed to check their mail by manually logging in to OWA (and are not permitted to connect their mobile devices to the server through active sync or any other permanent fashion) to configure their mailbox to automatically send them a TXT message to their mobile phone whenever they receive a new email. The problem is, it seems Exchange 2013 currently only supports sending TXT messages to 2 mobile carriers, carriers in Canada, and we would prefer if we could do more.
Is there a way to add support (through a paid 3rd party service if necessary) for additional carriers to this notification feature? And if so, where in Exchange management would this service be configured so that it would be available for the SMS notification feature? Thanks!!
